  • the hot water tank leaking
  • Clare's massive amounts of laundry she took home
  • Visits from Divina!
  • Sarah having 0 food in the house
  • Katie practicing multiple lessons on the roomies
  • Michelle thinking this year's Election Day was the Presidential Election
  • shingles falling off our roof from the wind
  • receiving $50 each for referring our friends to sign our house next year! (Thanks Haley!)
  • Lil' B breaking out the winter candles :)
  • RHA's Thanksgiving dinner
  • Clare was the athlete of the week!
  • finally turning on our heat
We have some big news as well...
WE HAVE A LOGO!
That's right! Thanks to a certain someone we are officially official with the creation of this bad boy. You'll see this logo posted on almost every blog post. Who knows, maybe we'll write a college cookbook with this logo someday :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Turkey Day!
Happy Thanksgiving from the 25 Hoes! We hope everyone enjoys the day with their family and leaves dinner at least 5 pounds heavier. In true Thanksgiving spirit here are some of the things your favorite 25 Hoes are thankful for...

Michelle: My family, my knowledge about health foods, seeing Divina this week, and of course my friends
Sarah: Family, friends, and Doritos
Clare: My fun family, my fabulous friends, and the good times I have with them! And food, don't forget that one! Tres importante!
Katie: I'm so glad to have my health, despite having multiple colds this semester. I'm also thankful that I'm able to spend the day with my family and for Canisius for bringing us all together!
Sarah: I'm thankful for all of my roommates and my loving family to spend the day with!

Roomie Nap

Roomie Nap!
Today is the last day of classes before Thanksgiving break and we've all been stressing (or still are) to complete assignments. Katie, Sarah, Michelle and Clare all participated in a short roomie nap that only lasted 10 minutes. We all woke up and said "did we ALL just take a nap at the same time?" The answer is yes, yes we sure did. Only thing missing was Lil B, who arrived 5 minutes after we all woke up!

We Have Heat!

Huge News

Today, November 23, 2015, is marked a quintessential day in the 25 Hoes history book. We finally turned on our heat! We waited to turn our heat on because...
1. We wanted to save money
2. We didn't know how
3. We bother our landlord
enough and didn't want
to be a pest

Our landlord came over this afternoon to turn it on. The 25 Hoes are record setters because this is the latest any of his former tenants have turned on their heat! :)
All friends are welcome to our house for a warm, friendly visit and a cup of hot chocolate!

Xoxo the 25 Hoes

P.S Thanks to Jim for helping us out. We'd have hypothermia by now without him. You should check out his website.

Bucket List #20

Group Halloween Costume
Last weekend we crossed off #20 on our bucket list and dressed up in a group Halloween costume. After much deliberation, ideas, and searching on Pinterest, we decided on being countries. We each chose a country of interest and ordered flags off Amazon. The only issue was how to wear the flag as a piece of clothing. And so we turned into fashion designers for a night. Here's the breakdown of countries-
Michelle: France
Sarah: Australia
Katie: Germany
Sarah: Tanzania (you're probably thinking "what?"
 so are we)
Clare: Italy

We had some friends over for our first ever costume party and it was a success! Here are some highlights...
  • Chris Barth dressed a Hawaiian tourist
  • The Canisius men's basketball team showed up and then left 5 seconds later #lol
  • Lil B on damage control the whole night. She took care of any problems!
  • Sarah greeting Dan every time she passed him
  • Realizing someone had eaten Katie's snacks and only left the box
  • We told people to come over around 11. It was 11:10 and we thought no one was coming #thisisit  #tenfriends #wewerewrong
  • Michelle was a great host
  • Sarah carrying three speakers up the stairs
And here we are being all international

Bucket List #18

Carve Pumpkins
We recently crossed off #18 on our bucket list and carved pumpkins this weekend for Halloween! We picked up two pumpkins from the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago and decided on two designs for their face. One happy, normal pumpkin and one sick pumpkin. It was a crisp, sunny Fall day and we were happy to spend some family time together!

Clare has been talking nonstop about pumpkin seeds.. When she saw a smashed pumpkin
at the pumpkin farm she wanted to "save the seeds!"
