We're Feeling 22

As of today we are FINALLY all 22 years old, which has us dancing like...

Michelle and Lil B turned 22 on January 25th #twinsies
Katie turned 22 on March 14th
Sarah turned 22 on March 29th
Clare turned 22 on March 30th
*TODAY, AH! Happy Birthday, Clare!

Katie has a confession. She thought Clare's birthday was on the 28th so she called and texted Clare a happy birthday message. Clare, being as sweet as she is, didn't correct Katie and thanked her. Once Katie realized she sent the birthday wishes TWO DAYS EARLY she texted Clare an apology message...

Because of our crazy schedules we haven't had much time to celebrate our birthdays. Michelle and Lil B were on vacation for their birthdays, Katie had student teaching and seminars all day, we went on the wine tour to celebrate Clare's, and we're having a girls night for Sarah's birthday.

Yay for everyone being 22!

Sarah's Sheets are Clean!

For the first time since we moved in back in August, Sarah washed her sheets! They smell fresh and she'll be all cozy tonight. Don't worry, she still has a month's worth of laundry to wash this week. We'll give an update on her remaining laundry later in the week.

Xoxo,

When Sarah turned 22...

This occurred at midnight! Our little (actually, she's really tall) Sarah is 22!

Wine Tour

It's no secret that we love wine. We love wine so much that we went on a wine tour with Clare's family. Now it wasn't just any wine tour. It was a wine tour on a school bus with about 25 people and we went to five wineries in our area. Last year was our first wine tour together for Clare's birthday. They decided to make it an annual event! And thank god, too.

We met at Clare's house and took some birthday cake pudding shots. Delish! Compliments to Chef Clare. We also filled our tumblers with wine for the bus and loaded up on snacks before heading to our first winery. The first winery was a fan favorite. Everyone remembers it from last year because they give you chocolate with each tasting! :) Their one wine in particular is a must-have, must-drink. It's called Sax on the Peach and has a crisp, summery taste. Well everyone loved it so much we started a chant. Then we found out the bus driver's name and we chanted his name, Roger. Katie made necklaces out of pretzels for easy snacking and to "cleanse the palette". We chanted about those too.

There was gorgeous scenery behind one of the wineries so after some pictures, Sarah thought she could find Ben Higgins wandering in the vineyard.
We miss you Michelle!
Unfortunately Michelle was stuck at work during the wine tour :( Here's what was said in our roomie group chat about missing Michelle...

Michelle: Hope you beauties had so much fun today
Katie: Michelle we missed you! We needed you to drop it low
during the bus ride jams
Michelle: (sends selfie of herself at work) Still slaving away!
Ughhhh I'll drop it low for you gals anytime
On a table, in the street
Just name the time and place

We listened to and danced to many throwback songs, including Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Vanessa Carlton. We danced in the aisles, fist pumped maybe a little too much, and continued to chant Roger's name. Heck, we even took a picture with Roger!

Roger drove us safely back to Clare's parents house where we inhaled pizza, wings, and baked ziti. Such a fun day!!

St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

We know we're out of order since we posted our Easter/spring goals yesterday, but St. Patrick's Day was such a blast we wanted to give it its own post. So here it is!

St. Patrick's Day was on a Thursday this year and we didn't have much time to celebrate during the week. Plus, our city hosts the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on the Sunday closest to the 17th. So we decided to celebrate on March 20th. We had friends come over for breakfast and started indulging in jell-o shots (courtesy of Sarah), margarita jell-o shots (courtesy of Lil B's friend, Olivia), and vodka-soaked gummy bears (courtesy of Sarah's friends).

The weather couldn't have been more perfect. Sunny, in the 50s, and not a cloud in the sky. So many friends stopped over, hung out for a little bit, and met up with the #25Hoes during the day. Here are some pics of our celebration!

Family pic

Michael really just wanted to be on the blog
How cute are these babes?
Sarah's car was a popular prop to pose with

After the parade we came back to the house and found out Clare had ordered two sheet pizzas! Wow! Unfortunately someone was extra hungry and the second sheet pizza went missing. After a nap and a movie, we cleaned up the house. Our basement has never looked worse. Those Irish Car Bombs were everywhere and we ended up throwing out a card table because it was that gross. We also collected about $10 worth of recyclables and gave the kitchen floor a good scrub. It definitely needed it. Like, a lot. Can you see why St. Pat's Day need it's own post??

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter, friends!

We hope everyone enjoys all the chocolate and the day with their family! Surprisingly we have wonderful, sunny weather up here so we'll be enjoying the weather all day. Instead of sharing our favorite Easter traditions we decided to share our spring goals...

Sarah: Get in to grad school and lose weight by eating properly (not by not eating-Michelle will take note of this!)
Lil B: Go to at least one more house party, get on honor roll, get to the top of either Dugan or Churchill Tower, meet her fundraising goal for Relay for Life, go out to dinner with all the roomies since it's been forever, and have a home cooked, multiple course meal with all the roomies
Michelle: Make out with a really hot guy (or multiple), go on adventures, and enjoy nature/warm weather/fresh air
Katie: Survive her second student teaching placement, use all of her Griff Bucks (she currently has $720 left), and go to yoga at least once a week
Clare: Continue exercising post-retirement, successfully perform her song in sign language, and finish One Tree Hill on Netflix

Countdown to Graduation: Two Months

How the heck do we only have two months until graduation??

Although we're looking forward to walking across the stage, wear our caps and gowns, and hold our diplomas proudly, we don't want senior year to end! We've had too much fun, had too many fun memories, and enjoy college and each other too much.

Katie found this article online and it really struck home with us. Yes we have a bucket list. Our bucket list even has its own page on this blog. But instead of attempting to cross off each individual item on our bucket list, we should focus on making the most of these two months with each other.

We've been slacking on our posts because of midterms BUT we'll have new posts coming your way soon. We've been busy and have lots to talk about!!

Weekend Snapshot

Happy Monday from all of us over here at #25Hoes!
It was a chaotic, busy weekend so let's get started!

Thursday
Because weekends in college always start on Thursday. Katie, Sarah, and Michelle left home on Thursday at 4am for our college's basketball conference championships. They drove five hours, cheered at the women's game (lost :/) and then cheered at the men's game 10 hours later. The men won in triple overtime against our rival. They didn't get back to their hotel until 11pm.

Meanwhile back at home, Clare and Lil' B were keeping themselves busy by hanging out with friends, grabbing some drinks, and having fun :)

Friday
Sarah, Michelle, and Katie were still cheering their hearts out at their basketball conference tournament. They had all day to roam around the city, grab lunch, and bond with their team.

Michelle and Sarah dancing in the Empire Plaza

What is Michelle packing up for?
Meanwhile back at the #25Hoes house, Lil B went out with her boyfriend <3. Clare joined her family and family friends at our city's newest hockey hub before going to our school's playoff hockey game. What a fun Friday!

Saturday
Sarah, Michelle, and Katie arrived back home around 2:30pm. Shortly afterward Lil B and Clare arrived home from a date! Just kidding it was a date with the two of them. They went to the local juice restaurant, grabbed some juice, and walked around the famous cemetery. They walked back in the door just in time for story time with Michelle!

We shared stories of our weekends so far, caught up on each other's lives, and of course complained about our landlord.

Clare left to go bowling (remember, she's a retired athlete and needs as much physical activity as possible) and Sarah left to eat dinner with her family. Katie went to work and Michelle went back to her family's home to catch up with them.

Around 9pm everyone came back to the #25Hoes house and Sarah arrived with another quiche!! Thanks Mamma B! Sarah went out with her friends, and Clare and Lil B went out with some swimmers. They ended up meeting at the same restaurant! As we were heading to bed Michelle sent this sweet message in our roomie group chat :)
We love our roomies!
Sunday
Ahh Sunday, we have a love/hate relationship with Sundays. In college, Sundays are for sleeping in, catching up on homework, and mentally preparing ourselves for the week. Michelle and Lil B left in the early morning, leaving Katie, Clare, and Sarah at the house. We ate Tim Horton's and caught up on our Netflix shows. Sarah eventually left for work. Boo.

That's our weekend!

Babysitting with Katie

Tonight Katie is babysitting KeShawn! He's feeling a little under the weather and Clare wanted to visit a friend who's in from out of town. So she left him in the care of Katie. What a mistake  great choice! Clare and Katie are sending text updates regarding his status. So far he hasn't made a peep and sleeping away his illness. All is well at the #25Hoes house tonight!

Friday Favorites

It's Friday, Friends!

Today we're linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to review our absolute favorites from this week!

One
Lil' B is BACK for good!! We want to shout it from the rooftops, sing hallelujah, and give her a big group hug. Her parents are back home which means she's back with us :) We couldn't be happier!

Two
Last week we had our 90's themed party and it was a blast from the past, literally. Before everyone showed up we were dancing in our living room to Britney Spears. We felt like 6 year olds again.

Check out the outfits!
Three
Sarah, Michelle, and Katie are cheerleaders for our school and they're currently in Albany, NY for the basketball conference championships. The basketball team won their game last and it went into triple overtime! True Jesuit spirit shines through! #magis #explorethemore #ignatianscholarshipday

Four
Two of the roomies went to see Bruce Springsteen in concert about an hour away. Loving it would be an understatement. We're still hearing stories about it.

Thanks for checking in with us this week!
Xoxo,

Let's Play Catch-Up

So we've been slacking...surprised much? We're not. Here's the Reader's Digest version of what we've been up to the past couple of weeks...

Last Friday we had a GREAT DAY! Clare, Lil' B, Sarah, Katie, and KeShawn took the subway downtown to watch our college's hockey team play in their final game of the regular season. We were at the box office grabbing our tickets when Clare's and KeShawn's families walked in! Clare's mom brought her a bag of clothes (we'll explain later) and we walked over to the concession stand. Katie and Sarah bought hot chocolate; Clare and Lil' B bought beer :) We loved jamming out to the Canadian anthem and then watched in awe as an eight-year old sang the national anthem. We would NEVER sound as good as she did.

Turns out that Clare's family had no idea we even had a blog. Also turns out that Clare's family has invited the #25Hoes over for dinner and Clare has never relayed the message (insert orange angry face emoji).

We shared some laughs during the hockey game. Across the rink were little boys who were showing their bellies when we scored. Sarah also showed us her heel...
Her dad has to get the gorilla glue to piece her boot back together.

We chatted with Clare's and KeShawn's families a tid bit more before heading out. We had some Friday evening plans we had to prepare for!

Here's the gang!

After the hockey game we came back to get ready for our 90's themed party. Yes, you read that correctly. Lil' B brought over Usher posters, a walkman, butterfly clips, and a Spice Girls poster. They were great decorations! We hooked up our computer to a sound bar and got dressed in our best 90s apparel.

Outfits are as follow:
Lil' B: capris, black t-shirt,, flannel, scrunchie, choker
Michelle: black skirt, black crop top, flannel, flat back, velcro sneakers, choker
Sarah: jean shorts, flannel tied back, t-shirt, choker, scrunchie, Converse
Katie: blue skirt, white crop top, jean jacket, scrunchie, choker
Clare: green velour dress, black tights, scrunchie, choker

The party was a HIT! Everyone was dressed in 90's apparel, listening to 90's music, and having fun. Our house was so crowded. Then the table collapsed and everything went flying onto the floor. That's when things took a turn for the worse.

We had one of Clare's teammates tell everyone to leave so we could clean up, make sure our house was still in one piece, and calm down. A group of boys decided they didn't have to leave and Katie had to bring our her teacher voice. Now friends, Katie doesn't bring our her teacher voice very often because she hates yelling. But these boys were rude and inconsiderate, two of the things Katie hates. So the teacher voice was brought out. No regrets.

The cleaning crew did a fantastic job cleaning up, people were tucked in, and we finished our night eating pizza and chips and salsa. We'd give this night an 8/10.
