Let's Play Catch-Up

So we've been slacking...surprised much? We're not. Here's the Reader's Digest version of what we've been up to the past couple of weeks...

Last Friday we had a GREAT DAY! Clare, Lil' B, Sarah, Katie, and KeShawn took the subway downtown to watch our college's hockey team play in their final game of the regular season. We were at the box office grabbing our tickets when Clare's and KeShawn's families walked in! Clare's mom brought her a bag of clothes (we'll explain later) and we walked over to the concession stand. Katie and Sarah bought hot chocolate; Clare and Lil' B bought beer :) We loved jamming out to the Canadian anthem and then watched in awe as an eight-year old sang the national anthem. We would NEVER sound as good as she did.

Turns out that Clare's family had no idea we even had a blog. Also turns out that Clare's family has invited the #25Hoes over for dinner and Clare has never relayed the message (insert orange angry face emoji).

We shared some laughs during the hockey game. Across the rink were little boys who were showing their bellies when we scored. Sarah also showed us her heel...
Her dad has to get the gorilla glue to piece her boot back together.

We chatted with Clare's and KeShawn's families a tid bit more before heading out. We had some Friday evening plans we had to prepare for!

Here's the gang!

After the hockey game we came back to get ready for our 90's themed party. Yes, you read that correctly. Lil' B brought over Usher posters, a walkman, butterfly clips, and a Spice Girls poster. They were great decorations! We hooked up our computer to a sound bar and got dressed in our best 90s apparel.

Outfits are as follow:
Lil' B: capris, black t-shirt,, flannel, scrunchie, choker
Michelle: black skirt, black crop top, flannel, flat back, velcro sneakers, choker
Sarah: jean shorts, flannel tied back, t-shirt, choker, scrunchie, Converse
Katie: blue skirt, white crop top, jean jacket, scrunchie, choker
Clare: green velour dress, black tights, scrunchie, choker

The party was a HIT! Everyone was dressed in 90's apparel, listening to 90's music, and having fun. Our house was so crowded. Then the table collapsed and everything went flying onto the floor. That's when things took a turn for the worse.

We had one of Clare's teammates tell everyone to leave so we could clean up, make sure our house was still in one piece, and calm down. A group of boys decided they didn't have to leave and Katie had to bring our her teacher voice. Now friends, Katie doesn't bring our her teacher voice very often because she hates yelling. But these boys were rude and inconsiderate, two of the things Katie hates. So the teacher voice was brought out. No regrets.

The cleaning crew did a fantastic job cleaning up, people were tucked in, and we finished our night eating pizza and chips and salsa. We'd give this night an 8/10.
